Hilaw Mangga
Also appetizer, but mostly Filipinos eat hilaw na mangga while chit-chat it taste sour but very delicioso because here in the phillippines we have two seasons; Summer or sunny and Rain because we have a very nice climate our mango tree grown maayos that's why it's fruits is very delicioso or masarap. Ika nga nila kung ano ang puno yun din ang bunga hehehe... It only cost 1peso.
Pancit
Is always present in our special occasion, because we filipinos believe that pancit is for long life, that's why it should always be present in our table very delicioso, methods of cooking is saute, pancit is nakakabusog because it is carbohydrates we Filipinos loves pancit.
Achara
Most households serve appetizer achara it is made of papaya which is monibalon, vinegar, bell pepper and salt this are the main ingredients of the achara, slice the papaya into thin strips then mix well with the ingredients and it can last for two days because of the vinegar very delicioso especially with inihaw na isda Filipinos favorite ulam.

Poto
Poto is a meryenda that is delicioso, soft, nakakabusog at mura. it only cost P5.00 per piece. main ingredients flour, sugar, vanilla for aroma and if the poto is with cheese on top it is special. methods of cooking is steaming. my grandfather love to cook poto because it is one of my favorite meryenda.
Madoya
Madoya is made of Banana "Saba", flour, sugar this are the main ingredients and it's methods of cooking is deep frying to be sure the banana is cooked inside and outside. also popular to the kids and only cost P3.00 and delicioso. Lutong pagmamahal only in the philippines.
Bukayo
Bukayo is also popular to the filipinos because it is our common dessert, bukayo is made of coconut and sugar that are the main ingredients and we have to be patience when cooking because it takes time. When you but it to the sari-sari store it only cost P5.00, masarap na mura pa. San ka pa? Dito lang yan sa Zamboanga City.
Palitaw
Palitaw is also a meryenda to the filipinos specially to the kids it is really popular. I remember my childhood days it only cost P1.00 per stick. It is very delicious, it's main ingredients is malagkit it is coated with coconut and sugar. It taste sweet. Cooking method is steaming.
Sampalok Candy
Sampalok Candy is delicioso it taste sweet and sour when you eat this candy you will really taste this to combination flavor melt in your mouth which is sweet came from sugar and sour from the sampalok fruit that's the main ingredients and when you buy to the sari-sari store it will only cost you P1.00 per piece.
Suman Saging
Suman Saging here in the Philippines is almost everyday filipinos meryenda. It is cheap and it will only cost you P5.00 per piece. It's main ingredient is saging "saba" it is also sweet and delicioso. My cousin's favorite meryenda. Suman Saging with coffee is a perfect combination.
Chikoy
If chinese they have their Tikoy, we filipinos have also our very own version which is "Chikioy". It's main ingredients are malagkit and coconut milk. It taste sweet and when you chew it in your mouth it is smooth at nakakabusog. Diba sabroso?
